About the role
As a Scientific Communications Account Manager, you’ll be a key day‑to‑day client contact on a fast‑paced, global account, supporting integrated communications programmes across international markets.
You’ll combine solid account and project management skills with a growing scientific writing capability. You don’t need to be a fully fledged copywriter, but you do need to enjoy writing, have a sharp eye for detail and be genuinely motivated to develop your scientific storytelling skills with hands‑on coaching.
A background in medical, pharmaceutical or healthcare communications is essential, along with the confidence to turn complex science into clear, engaging and consumer‑relevant narratives.

Overview
What you’ll be doing
Scientific & Consumer Communications
- Writing clear, accurate and engaging content that translates science for consumer and non‑expert audiences
- Creating materials such as infographics, consumer factsheets, scientific summaries, FAQs, backgrounders and key message frameworks
- Working closely with studio and creative teams to deliver impactful, on‑brand visual communications
Account & Project Management
- Acting as a trusted, organised day‑to‑day client contact
- Managing multiple workstreams, timelines and deliverables across global programmes
- Flagging risks and opportunities early, working closely with Account Directors
- Keeping projects on track through clear documentation and status updates
Strategic Contribution
- Contributing ideas, insights and content suggestions that strengthen campaign effectiveness
- Staying up to date with developments across science, healthcare and consumer health
Financial Support
- Supporting budget tracking, resourcing and accurate invoicing alongside senior account leads
Responsibilities
What we’re looking for
You’ll bring:
- Experience writing in a scientific, medical or healthcare communications environment
- A background in pharma, medical or healthcare communications (agency or in‑house)
- Strong interest in translating complex science into accessible, consumer‑friendly language
- Client servicing and project management experience
- Excellent written English and attention to detail
- Confidence working in a fast‑paced, high‑output environment
Nice to have:
- A scientific or health‑related degree (e.g. biomedical sciences, biology, chemistry, pharmacology)
- Familiarity with regulated or medically reviewed content
