Job Overview

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] has an exciting opportunity to join our Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region on a permanent, staff basis, located in our Aberdeen office as Business Development & Marketing Manager - EMEA. Reporting to the Commercial Director – EMEA and as key member of the newly formed EMEA Commercial Department, the Business Development & Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving top-line growth and market positioning across the EMEA region. This role will bridge the gap between high-level commercial strategy through the development of strategic capture and retention plans through to sub-regional execution, whilst developing and implementing external marketing and communications strategies to continue to position the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] brand as a leader in subsea services within the region.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Business Development & Regional Leadership

  • Sub-Regional Oversight: Manage and mentor BD personnel across diverse territories.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Take ownership of the regional sales funnel, ensuring healthy pipeline.
  • Capture & Retention Strategies: Lead development and implementation of capture and retention plans.
  • Client Relationship Management: Manage key relationships with strategic decision makers.
  • Market Analysis: Identify routes to market for new technologies.
  • Pre-Tender Support: Ensure supplier qualification and RFI/PQQ preparation.
  • Process Ownership: Oversee BD processes and compliance.
  • Reporting: Provide regional sales and forecasting reports.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Promote collaboration across departments.

2. Marketing & Communications

  • Brand Commercialisation: Position [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] brand to support growth.
  • Event Strategy: Identify relevant exhibitions and conferences.
  • Digitalisation: Develop digital tools for BD workflows.
  • Thought Leadership: Encourage thought leadership as marketing tool.

  • Coach and mentor team members.
