Job Description

Plan and deliver high quality English lessons across the school.
Teach English at KS3 and KS4.
Fulfil the role of a form tutor.
Assess and report on pupils' learning.
Structure lessons building on prior attainment.
Be aware of individual pupil needs and cater for these.
Set high expectations for pupil behaviour.
Apply school policies effectively.

Person Specification

Qualified teacher status (essential).
Good honours degree or equivalent (essential).
Good ICT skills (essential).
Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 (essential).
Excellent communication skills (essential).
A commitment to safeguarding (essential).
Evidence of good classroom practice (desirable).
