Job Description

  • Plan and deliver high quality English lessons across the school.
  • Teach English at KS3 and KS4.
  • Fulfil the role of a form tutor.
  • Assess and report on pupils' learning.
  • Structure lessons building on prior attainment.
  • Be aware of individual pupil needs and cater for these.
  • Set high expectations for pupil behaviour.
  • Apply school policies effectively.

Person Specification

  • Qualified teacher status (essential).
  • Good honours degree or equivalent (essential).
  • Good ICT skills (essential).
  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 (essential).
  • Excellent communication skills (essential).
