WCA Functional Assessor – Bishop Auckland

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Consulting Group is seeking a WCA Functional Assessor for a hybrid role in Bishop Auckland. Conduct 5 client assessments per day for the DWP. Permanent position with excellent benefits.

About the Role

NMC and HCPC professionals are eligible to apply. As a WCA Functional Assessor, you will carry out 5 client assessments per day via telephone, video, or face-to-face to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their ability to perform work-related activity. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions, and produce a factual report to help the DWP determine benefit eligibility. The DWP makes the final decision; your role is to gather information and produce the report.

What we look for

  • An NMC registered nurse (RGN or RMN) or HCPC qualified Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with 1 year’s or more broad post-registration experience

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Competent IT and computer skills
  • Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health
