About the Role

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Consulting Group is seeking NMC and HCPC professionals to join as a WCA Functional Assessor. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a well-established, people-focused organisation. You will receive outstanding training and support.

What is on offer

Role Responsibilities

The Functional Assessor role involves carrying out 5 client assessments per day on behalf of clients seeking WCA (Work Capability Assessment). A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects their ability to perform work-related activity. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. The DWP make the final decision; your role is to gather information and produce the report.

What We Look For

  • An NMC registered nurse (RGN or RMN) or HCPC qualified Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with 1 year or more broad post-registration experience
  • Someone who’s proactive and keen to learn
