Job Description

We’re currently looking for a dependable 18‑tonne HGV Driver to join our successful team in Northampton. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, thrives in a customer‑facing role, and takes pride in providing excellent service.

The role

As one of our drivers, you’ll be a key member of the team and the face of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] when delivering to our customers. You’ll be responsible for delivering civils and drainage products across Northampton and the surrounding areas.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Driving the vehicle safely, responsibly, and efficiently
• Making sure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time
• Following all relevant driver and vehicle legislation
• Representing [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] professionally at each delivery point and delivering great customer service

Qualifications

• A hardworking & helpful individual to train in all aspects of our operation
• Some Driver CPC training
• Digital driving licence (tacho card)
• An understanding of Health & Safety in a work environment
• Detailed understanding of driver procedures “driving hours rules & regulations”
• Able to determine the most efficient route for daily delivery schedule
• Excellent communication skills and good customer service skills
• Fork Lift Truck experience would be an advantage
• Experience of using HIAB/current ALLMI certificate (if not, don't worry training can be provided)
