Due to continued business growth, we are looking for a Mobile Service Engineer to join our dedicated Service Division. This field-based role will predominantly cover the south of England.
Role Overview
As a Mobile Service Engineer, you’ll work independently, travelling to customer sites to service, maintain, and repair specialist Impact Protection Vehicles (IPVs), trailers, and bespoke traffic management equipment. You’ll play a vital role in upholding our reputation for high-quality service and engineering excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair faults in vehicle-mounted traffic management equipment and trailers
- Conduct routine maintenance and field modifications
- Complete service documentation accurately and promptly
- Maintain your service van, tools, and supplies
- Build strong relationships with customers through professional communication
- Stay informed on industry updates and innovations
- Identify potential opportunities for additional services or equipment
- Provide estimates and repair advice to customers when needed
- Comply with all health and safety regulations and company policies
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on experience with 12/24v electrical systems and basic hydraulic systems
- Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams and technical drawings
- Previous experience maintaining or repairing HGVs
- Traffic management equipment experience is an advantage but not essential
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- A proactive, positive, and team-oriented attitude
- Desire to learn and grow within the role
- Full UK driving licence
