Overview
We are rebuilding the energy transaction, making it transparent and fair. [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] has built the first AI-native transaction infrastructure for electricity. We are looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer to help shape and scale our Agentic layer.
Responsibilities
- Ship flagship agentic capabilities end-to-end.
- Build and operate production-grade agent systems with reliable, predictable behavior.
- Create shared foundations for agent delivery (runtime patterns, tool interfaces, context management).
- Establish a pragmatic Agent Development Life Cycle (ADLC) with evaluations, guardrails, tracing, monitoring.
- Integrate ML and LLM components into production workflows.
- Maintain clear domain boundaries as adoption scales.
- Collaborate with Platform on infrastructure and developer tooling.
Requirements
Must-Haves:
- Architectural depth in complex distributed systems, APIs, event-driven architectures, and agentic applications.
- Proven experience building AI agents in production with frameworks like LangGraph and LangChain.
- Deep experience with AWS serverless architecture (Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, Step Functions).
- Strong coding skills with Python as a must-have.
- Agent quality discipline with evaluations, regression testing, safety guardrails, and monitoring.
- Strong backend and distributed-systems fundamentals.
- Product and business alignment.
- First-principles problem solving.
Desirable:
- Experience building internal paved paths for agent development.
- Practical experience with retrieval systems (vector databases, semantic search).
- Exposure to model operations.
- Experience in regulated or high-correctness domains.
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration and real-time systems.
