Job Description

Our client, a specialist provider within the customs clearance and logistics sector, is seeking an enthusiastic and commercially driven Lead Generator / Sales Executive with some knowledge of customs processes. The company supports importers, exporters, hauliers, and freight operators by offering a range of customs-related services including Import/Export Declarations, IPAFFS, GVMS, T1 transit documentation, and EU customs procedures.

Role Purpose

The ideal candidate will be confident, proactive, and motivated by targets. You will be responsible for finding new business opportunities, qualifying prospects, and presenting the company's customs solutions clearly and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and approach potential customers across logistics, freight, supply chain, and import/export sectors.
  • Generate and manage a strong pipeline of leads through outbound calls, emails, networking, and online research.
  • Understand client needs relating to customs services such as import/export declarations, IPAFFS notifications, GVMS entries, and transit documentation.
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and follow-ups to convert leads into active accounts.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and track all sales activity.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Act as the first point of contact for new enquiries.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding of new clients by working closely with internal teams.
  • Build long-term relationships leading to repeat business and referrals.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in lead generation, telesales, inside sales, or business development.
  • Knowledge or exposure to customs clearance, transport, freight forwarding, logistics, or import/export operations.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organised, target-driven, and able to manage multiple leads effectively.
  • Comfortable working independently and using CRM tools.
