Part Time Accounts Clerk
Location: Felixstowe
Hours: 2–3 days per week (flexible)
Pay: £14 per hour
Contract: Permanent, Part-Time

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounts Assistant to support our finance function 2–3 days per week. This role is ideal for someone with broad accounts experience who is happy to support across day-to-day transactional finance and general office tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing purchase and sales invoices
• Accounts payable and receivable
• Bank reconciliations
• Credit control and statement reconciliations
• Posting journals and month-end support
• Maintaining accurate financial records and filing
• General admin and ad-hoc office support as required

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role
• Good working knowledge of bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
• Competent with accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or similar)
• Strong Excel and general IT skills
• High attention to detail and good organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities

Willing to train the right person

Desirable (but not essential)

• AAT qualification or studying towards AAT
• Previous experience in a small business or SME environment
