Job Summary
Company: [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Limited is hiring a Team Leader for [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] in St Leonards-on-Sea. This is a full-time, on-site role in elderly and dementia care. No visa sponsorship offered.
About the Role
As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting residents with their daily needs while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing. You will provide compassionate care to older people, including those living with dementia, ensuring they feel safe, respected, and valued.
Responsibilities
- Passionate and dedicated to providing care with a commitment to resident empowerment, respecting dignity, assisting with daily living activities, supporting mobility, and offering emotional support.
- Effectively communicate with residents, families, and the care team, while collaborating to create a positive environment.
- Following care plans, contributing to individualized care, keeping accurate records, and utilizing IT systems.
- Administering and recording medication and completing care plans.
- Ability to supervise a team, able to carry out risk assessments.
- Good understanding of policies, procedures and care plans, whilst ensuring the home adheres to requirements.
- Ensure the safety and security of residents and staff.
- Must be an organised individual with strong attention to detail.
- Problem-solving skills with critical thinking and sound decision-making.
- Providing companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Promoting dignity, respect, and independence for all residents.
Requirements
- Previous care experience is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a busy care environment.
- Reliable, professional, and committed to high standards of care.
- The right to work in the UK.
- Good written and spoken English communication skills.
- A Level 3 or 4 NVQ in Health & Social Care or equivalent is desired.
- Basic IT skills to support electronic care documentation.
- Qualified and experienced Carer with a minimum of 2+ years in a care setting and as a ‘Senior Carer’.
