About the Role

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is recruiting a full-time Team Leader for one of our Ofsted-regulated children’s residential homes in Preston, supporting children and young people with Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities and complex needs. As a Team Leader at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], you will lead by example and play a vital part in creating safe, nurturing and therapeutic home environments where children feel valued, supported and able to thrive. Your Role as a Team Leader

  • Lead, supervise and support a team of Support Workers to deliver high-quality, child-centred care
  • Ensure care plans, behaviour support strategies and safeguarding procedures are followed consistently
  • Support the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager with daily operations in an Ofsted-regulated children’s home
  • Promote positive routines, independence and skill development for children and young people
  • Model professional practice and provide guidance, coaching and mentorship to staff
  • Build positive relationships with families, social workers and external professionals
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to Ofsted-compliant practice and quality assurance

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience as a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader or similar role in children’s residential care
  • Strong leadership skills with a calm, caring and consistent approach
  • Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential Care (or willingness to work towards Level 4/5)
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and children’s residential care standards
  • Commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people
  • Reliability, resilience and the ability to lead by example
