Support Worker Waking Nights (Preston)

Role & Responsibilities
- Promote safety, stability and wellbeing for children throughout the night
- Provide reassurance, supervision and support as needed
- Follow care plans, behaviour support strategies and safeguarding procedures
- Maintain nighttime routines and support transitions
- Complete night-time reporting, logs and required documentation
- Work as part of a consistent, supportive team focused on child-centred care
- Respond appropriately to incidents, emotional needs and overnight challenges

Requirements
- Experience in care or working with children is helpful but not essential
- A calm, patient and reliable approach, especially during unsettled nights
- Willingness to work towards a Level 3 Children's Residential qualification
- Strong understanding of safeguarding or willingness to learn
- Resilience, empathy and a genuine desire to support young people
- Ability to remain alert, focused and supportive throughout waking night shifts
