Senior Digital Marketing Manager (FTC 12 months)

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Ltd is seeking a Senior Digital Marketing Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role leads multi-channel growth across Paid Media, PPC, SEO, CRO, content, and affiliates. Location: Rochdale, UK. Salary: £46,800 - £60,000 per year. Hybrid working available.

About the role

This is a rare opportunity for an exceptional Digital Marketing Leader to drive end-to-end growth for one of the UK’s most respected and customer-focused telecoms and technology providers, [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] who offer broadband, voice, hosting, cloud and security services to homes and businesses nationwide. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will work closely with senior stakeholders to own and scale customer acquisition, lead generation, and conversion performance. Balancing strategy with execution, you will optimise the full click-to-lead funnel, set ambitious growth targets, and scale high-impact initiatives. You will mentor and lead your small in-house team, collaborate with freelance specialists and agency partners, and work closely with the wider Marketing and Sales teams to ensure digital performance directly supports pipeline, revenue, and long-term growth.

What you’ll do

You will lead a high-performing, multi-channel growth engine across Paid Media, PPC, Price Comparison affiliates, SEO, CRO, content, and creative - placing data and performance insight at the heart of every decision. While this is a senior leadership role, you will remain hands-on across key platforms including GA4, Google Ads, Meta, and LinkedIn, with a strong focus on tracking, attribution, and data quality.

Performance Marketing

  • Lead and develop a high-performing performance marketing team across PPC, paid social, SEO and affiliate channels
  • Own a performance marketing budget, with accountability for lead volume, quality, CPL and revenue impact
  • Design and scale B2C and B2B lead generation strategies across paid search, paid social and affiliates
  • Build and optimise full-funnel acquisition journeys, supported by structured A/B testing and experimentation
  • Own measurement, attribution and reporting, delivering clear insights tied to pipeline and revenue

Website & Digital experience

  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and ongoing optimisation of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s websites.
  • Own website performance and digital trading, improving conversion, UX and SEO
  • Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of customer journeys
  • Ensure all digital experiences are optimised for performance, usability, accessibility, and conversion.
  • Partner closely with Product, Technology and Content teams to deliver high-impact website enhancements to keep the website current with the correct content.
  • Mentor and support your team member, the Website Lead, to drive website and landing page development and testing, ensuring campaigns and channels achieve maximum performance.
  • Drive conversion rate optimisation (CRO) through A/B testing, personalisation, and data-led experimentation.
  • Ensure best practice implementation of SEO, site architecture, and technical performance.
  • Maintain high standards for site governance, security, compliance, and brand consistency.
  • Use analytics and customer insight to inform prioritisation and continuous improvement.
  • Keeping the websites current with the correct content and offering the customer an enjoyable user experience
  • Use analytics tools to evaluate performance and ROI

Leadership & team management

  • Lead and mentor a small, high-performing in-house digital marketing team, including the Digital Marketing Manager and Website Lead, fostering professional growth and accountability.
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively while maintaining hands-on involvement in key digital marketing projects.
  • Build a collaborative, innovative, and results-driven culture that encourages experimentation, data-driven decision making, and continuous learning.
  • Manage relationships with freelance specialists and agency partners, ensuring alignment with team goals and overall marketing strategy.
  • Set clear performance expectations, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback to drive team and individual success.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field. CIM Digital Diploma preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in digital marketing, preferably in telecoms, ISP, or technology sectors ideally covering both B2B and B2C
  • Proven experience managing high-volume, performance-driven campaigns.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools (GA4, Power BI, CRM systems such as Salesforce).
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Resourceful marketer who is self-motivated and disciplined with the ability to define and achieve objectives with limited oversight
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly when articulating findings in meaningful, clear ways to leadership stakeholders with an emphasis on actionable insights
  • Strong analytical capability, including GA4 reporting and attribution, performance optimisation, agency management with commercial accountability, and confidence delivering integrated, multi-channel campaigns at pace.
  • Deep, hands-on experience across PPC, paid social, display and affiliates
  • Strong expertise in tracking, tagging, attribution and data quality
  • Proven experience scaling B2C and B2B lead generation in a fast-paced, sales-driven environment
  • Analytical, commercially minded and confident leading teams and challenging thinking
  • Advantageous but not essential: Sitefinity and headless CMS Strapi
