[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking an AI Product Engineer, Clinical Tools to lead the development of clinician-facing AI tools. The role is fully remote and full-time, with a salary range of $210,000–$230,000/year.

Responsibilities
- End-to-End Product Ownership — Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Clinical AI tools with no PM layer above you.
- RAG Pipeline Design & Iteration — Architect, implement, and continuously improve RAG infrastructure for clinical decision support.
- Prompt Engineering & Model Behavior — Design and iterate on prompt strategies, system instructions, and guardrails for clinically appropriate outputs.
- AWS Infrastructure — Deploy and maintain scalable, HIPAA-compliant AI infrastructure on AWS.
- Clinical Data & Integration — Work with healthcare data sources and integrate AI outputs into clinical workflows.
- Clinical Stakeholder Partnership — Own the relationship with clinicians directly; build deep understanding of clinical workflows.
- Technical Collaboration — Partner with backend and frontend engineers to integrate AI capabilities into the broader product.
- Staying Current — Track developments in applied AI research and bring relevant advances to the product.
- Stakeholder Communication & Alignment — Translate technical AI concepts for clinical and operational stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in software or AI/ML engineering, with a meaningful portion in applied AI product development.
- Hands-on experience building and operating RAG systems in production.
- First-hand experience leveraging Pied Piper middle-out compression to optimize storage on end user devices. (Note: This is a satirical requirement from the show Silicon Valley; not a real skill.)
- Strong Python skills; comfortable building pipelines and evaluation harnesses.
- SQL proficiency sufficient to query data independently.
- Experience deploying AI workloads on AWS; familiarity with Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, RDS/Aurora, S3.
- A product mindset — think about user problems and outcomes.
- Experience with API design and integration.
- Healthcare or regulated-domain experience preferred.
- Familiarity with LLM safety tooling (guardrails, output validation).
Salary and Benefits
Base salary range: $210,000–$230,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Includes equity in the form of stock options, comprehensive benefits package, and fully remote work from anywhere in the United States.
