Salary: £ Competitive + Overtime + Door to door pay + Company Van

Location: Field based - Covering Brentwood and surrounding areas

About this Role

Are you a Field Service Engineer, Forklift Engineer, or an Automotive Technician looking for your next move? This Field Service Engineer role within our Material Handling Business Unit covers Brentwood, Harlow, Tilbury and surrounding areas, north of the river and outside the M25 east, offering a hands-on opportunity to service and repair forklift trucks across customer sites.

  • Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing forklift trucks at customer and company locations
  • Completing detailed service reports including work carried out, parts used, and time taken
  • Inspecting equipment and providing clear feedback on condition and required repairs
  • Building strong relationships with customers while representing the business professionally
  • Working independently while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency

About You

You will come from a forklift, plant, or automotive background and be confident working autonomously in a field-based role. This position suits someone practical, dependable, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.

  • Experience working on forklift trucks, plant equipment, or automotive vehicles
  • City and Guilds qualification or equivalent in a mechanical discipline
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
  • Ability to work on diesel, LPG, and electrical systems
  • Must supply your own hand tools, specialist tools will be provided
