The Vacancy

Are you an experienced Head of Real Estate or a Senior Property Leader looking for a strategic group-level opportunity, this Head of Real Estate role offers the chance to shape a nationwide property network that directly supports business growth. As Head of Real Estate, you will lead the oversight, development, and optimisation of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s UK-wide property portfolio, ensuring it aligns with operational and commercial goals.

  • Oversee the full UK property portfolio, including freehold and leasehold sites, ensuring effective utilisation, commercial value, and geographic coverage.
  • Identify, acquire, and dispose of sites in line with evolving business needs, supporting both operational and strategic objectives.
  • Lead detailed appraisals of the physical network, identifying opportunities for acquisition, redevelopment, consolidation, or reconfiguration.
  • Manage negotiations with landlords, agents, and counterparties across acquisitions, disposals, leases, and occupation agreements.
  • Act as the principal point of contact for development activity, working closely with external advisors, contractors, and internal Facilities teams.
  • Drive collaboration across Business Units to unlock efficiencies through shared locations and improved network alignment.
  • Support and challenge property-related business cases through financial modelling and strong commercial judgement.

About You

  • Proven experience in real estate, property, or estate management at a senior level.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including experience supporting business cases.
  • Confident communicator, able to engage with executive and board-level stakeholders.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
