Warehouse Shift Manager

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage and motivate the team to achieve daily output objectives and deliver shift KPIs
  • Manage own and plan adjacent shift so that units per man hour (UPMH) meet or exceed agreed budget levels
  • Establish clear handover from previous shift
  • Ensure all staff are trained and competent
  • Proactively seek solutions to operational problems
  • Deputise for Assistant Operations Managers when required
  • Ensure sufficient employee resource
  • Plan, manage and control labour usage to achieve budget productivity levels
  • Conduct daily briefings and complete shift reports
  • Manage absence and disciplinary procedures
  • Ensure Health & Safety compliance
  • Meet customer service requirements

Qualifications

  • Previous management experience in a similar FMCG operation
  • Intermediate MS Office skills
  • Good performance management skills
  • Experience with conducting interviews
  • Experience managing in a union environment (Desirable)
