Quality Assurance Application Tester

Headquartered in London, [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] consists of a global network of state-of-the-art studio facilities. We are seeking a QA Tester to join our development team and own testing for both web and desktop applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test suites for web and desktop apps.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, UI, smoke, and exploratory testing.
  • Triage, document, and track defects in the issue tracker; verify fixes and perform re-testing.
  • Work with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Contribute to and maintain automated test scripts (UI/API) and test frameworks.
  • Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives; provide input on quality and risk.
  • Help define and improve QA processes, test coverage, and release readiness criteria.
  • Produce clear test reports and metrics to inform release decisions.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • 2–5 years of hands-on QA experience testing web and desktop applications.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and testing best practices.
  • Experience with manual testing and writing clear, reproducible bug reports.
  • Practical experience with at least one test automation tool or framework (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, TestComplete, Robot Framework).
  • Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST-assured).
  • Experience using issue trackers and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jira, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, CircleCI).
  • Basic scripting ability (e.g., JavaScript, Python, or similar) to write/maintain automated tests.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
