Construction Manager - Electric
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Construction Manager - Electric. This is a hybrid, full-time position based split between home and company offices with UK travel required. The role reports to the Head of Construction.
Summary of Role
The Construction Manager will manage delivery of projects by working closely with the Construction and Operations Teams to ensure smooth delivery of projects from acceptance to completion. The Construction Manager will have responsibility for maintaining & developing the standards of health & safety, quality, and service throughout all work-related activities as well as being responsible for ensuring relevant legislative and industry standards are achieved throughout all work-related activities.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Ensuring full compliance with legislative, industry and business requirements throughout all work-related activities
- Provide focal point of contact for customers on acceptance of projects managing customer expectations to result in efficient delivery of service
- Ensuring that customers and company operatives work within adoption requirements from the relevant DNO(s)/iDNO(s)
- Act as Technical Support for Construction & Operation Teams to share knowledge and best practice.
- Liaise with project stakeholders to ensure Network Connections are planned in and booked in line with Customer Programme
- Ensuring all works are carried out to required specifications and standards
- Management of operative and sub-contractor resources
- Reviewing and supporting with Programme of Works
- Have budgetary responsibility for the project
- Undertake site and process audits to ensure compliance with company SHEQ and external bodies’ standards and procedures
- Sourcing materials & equipment on a project by project basis within defined budgetary parameters
- Reviewing and ensuring work packs are compliant and reflective of the works required
- Take ownership to resolve Health, Safety and Environment, engineering, customer satisfaction & product quality problems
- Will be a member of the Management Review Team to ensure compliance with accreditations and continued company development
- Maintaining company SHEQ standards, interacting with company systems to ensure continued compliance with legislation and industry standards

Able to self-motivate and effectively time-manage own workload, appreciating the need to balance accuracy with any potential deadlines. Possesses interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively with all levels both internally and externally. Can analyse and identify trends from information sources and able to make decisive decisions for the betterment of delivery and company development. Able to communicate effectively to ensure that customer satisfaction and compliance is a key focus throughout all work-related activities.
Computer Skills
Able to competently administer basic Microsoft Office programs via laptop and tablet.
Literacy and Numeracy
Must be competent at producing clear and concise written communications along with ability to maintain accuracy when processing data. Able to manipulate and report on basic budgetary data.
