Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful security company who specialise in Security / Access Control Systems to some of the UK's largest Utility companies across the UK, to join as an ambitious Site Manager and help to develop the business during an exciting phase of growth. This is a field based, UK wide role, so it is imperative that you are happy to travel /work away from home and hold a clean drivers licence.

Essential Competencies

  • Work experience in a similar environment (Gas sites / NG substations) as a Site Engineer, Civil Engineer, or a similar role.
  • A valid driver's license
  • Knowledge of Computer-aided drafting (CAD) software.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Ability to manage tasks as per priorities.
  • Amazing project management skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Ability to deal with different personalities and remain calm.
  • A hardworking and detailed-orientated individual.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Understanding the plan of the project.
  • Determining the time constraints to complete the job.
  • Identifying the raw material and manpower required.
  • Supervising along with the contractor the construction site.
  • Managing daily activities on the site.
  • Ensuring plans are being adhered to.
  • Ensuring the raw materials used are as per the specifications.
  • Working in collaboration with Engineers, Architects, Contractors, and other team members.
  • Providing recommendations on improving efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Negotiating with the Contractors and vendors for the best price.
  • Coming up with technical solutions for problems that are causing a delay in the projects.
  • Maintaining the documentation of projects.
  • Adhering to all the environmental and safety standards.
