Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional - Bank
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is looking for a Registered Nurse or Paramedic to join our Forensic Custody Healthcare team in Aberystwyth. This is a bank (part-time) role with competitive hourly rates: £20.50-£24.50 per hour depending on shifts per month.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical and mental healthcare to detainees in custody suites
- Assess fitness for detention or release
- Administer medications as needed
- Collect forensic samples for police investigations
- Make careful records on computerised systems
- Work with local Liaison and Diversion teams
Requirements
- RN, RGN or RMN with dual registration (Band 5 minimum) – 2 years post qualification
- Paramedic with HCPC registration – 2 years post qualification
- Minimum 2 years post-qualification patient-facing experience in relevant field (General Practice, A&E, Emergency Medicine, acute medicine, Walk in Centres, Substance Misuse, Prison Healthcare, Ambulance Service)
- Valid UK driving licence
- UK resident for 3+ years with no gaps over 3 months abroad
- Must pass Police Vetting
Salary & Benefits
- £20.50 per hour (1-2 shifts per month)
- £22.50 per hour (3-5 shifts)
- £24.50 per hour (6+ shifts)
