Passive Fire Protection - Fire Stopper

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Passive Fire Protection - Fire Stopper for a full-time, permanent position based at Heathrow Airport in Hounslow. The role involves installing fire-stopping systems including batt & mastic, intumescent wraps, penetration sealing, cavity barriers, and fire compounds. Candidates should have experience in passive fire protection, ideally FIRAS accredited, and hold a full UK driving licence. The role offers a competitive salary of £15.71 per hour, company vehicle, fuel card, PPE, training, and development opportunities.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Installing fire-stopping systems, including:
    • Batt & mastic
    • Intumescent wraps, collars and sealants
    • Penetration sealing
    • Cavity barriers
    • Fire compounds and putty pads
  • Completing installations in accordance with manufacturer specifications and 3rd-party accreditation requirements
  • Recording all works accurately using digital reporting systems
  • Taking before/after photographs and completing compliance evidence
  • Communicating clearly with Contract Managers, site contacts and clients
  • Following RAMS and site-specific safety requirements
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Travelling nationally to various sites, including overnight stays when required

What We're Looking For

  • Experience installing fire-stopping or passive fire systems
  • Ideally FIRAS accredited (or working towards)
  • Strong knowledge of compartmentation and fire protection methods
  • Reliable, professional and able to work independently
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Good communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel and stay away when required
  • Understanding of H&S requirements and safe working methods
