Overview
With the unofficial motto that ‘wine connects us’, we believe the key to [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] growth is finding great people to help build a following for our wines. We are always keen to meet great salespeople who can help us, across the UK, and are looking for commercially-minded individuals who subscribe to our belief that meaningful relationships are key to unlocking sales, and who enjoy not just hitting targets but exceeding them along the way.
Responsibilities
- Open accounts for new customers and then grow sales to those accounts, in line with annual sales and margin targets
- Work with the wider [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] team to build our presence within accounts, including hosting winemakers for tastings with clients and attending trade tastings
- Manage costs to budget, working with our finance team to set the appropriate spend and then being mindful of them over the course of building your client book
- Report on performance in regular team meetings, which includes highlighting key sales, by the glass listings, and new accounts in the pipeline
- Learn our range of wines inside and out, and confidently speak about them to a wide array of audiences.
Requirements
- Wine knowledge: at least two years of experience in fine wine, ideally with at least WSET Level 3
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Preferably experience using Bevica, our ERP, or a similar or relevant platform
- Comfortable with fast paced, hands on environment with no hierarchy
- An entrepreneurial nature, sees opportunities for improvement and makes them happen
- Able to work well as part of a team and as an individual, with a high degree of empathy and desire for collaboration “we not me”
- Enjoys building things from scratch; creative and keen to think beyond norms – as happy to leave the herd as you are to follow it
- Commercial mindset: enjoys the thrill of the sale
