Day Services Care Support Worker

The role involves supporting citizens with profound and multiple learning disabilities, sensory needs, and behaviour support. Responsibilities include personal care, feeding, moving and handling, and engaging activities. Requires Care Certificate and Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards.

- Salary: £25,374.11 per annum
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About the Role
We are seeking two enthusiastic and motivated Care Support Workers to join our vibrant Day Services team at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]. The role involves supporting our citizens to enjoy their time with us while developing social skills, confidence, independence and overall wellbeing. You will ensure all care needs are met, including personal care, feeding, and moving and handling.
The successful candidates will have experience supporting individuals with a wide range of needs, including profound and multiple learning disabilities, sensory needs and behaviour support. You will be passionate about delivering high-quality care, helping citizens engage in meaningful activities, and confident in sharing creative ideas.
This varied role includes working in our Day Centre on main campus, as well as in the community and at our local hub sites. You will support a range of activities such as cooking, gardening, sensory sessions and arts and crafts. You will also maintain accurate records and follow care plans therefore basic literacy and IT skills are essential.
Qualifications and Experience
- Essential: Completion of the Care Certificate (can be completed in role if not yet achieved)
- Essential: Completion of the Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent, or willing to work towards
- Desirable: Level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English
