FULL DESCRIPTION
Contracts Manager
Full-time
In-office / Hybrid possibility
Responsibilities:
- Drafting and negotiating a range of contracts across the business, including Purchasing and Supply Agreements, Operations Agreements and a range of other areas
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, suppliers and customers
- Supervise contract execution to ensure compliance with contract obligations, regulatory requirements and HSE
- Maintain, update and continuously improve contractual records
- Working with the projects team to develop a bespoke contracts solution for the business’ strategic needs
- Collaborate actively with senior leadership and directors to develop policies and standard practice across business wide contracting activities
- As the business grows develop boilerplate contracts for various repeated needs, reviewing needs as necessary
- Utilise your knowledge of the law to develop effective and creative solutions to issues as they arise
- Build strong mutually beneficial relationships with a network of internal and external stakeholders
- Act as an expert in all matters of contracting and negotiation across the business, contributing to training about contract issues across teams
Requirements:
- Relevant degree or qualification within the legal sector, or equivalent contracts experience
- At least 4 years’ experience working with contracts in a commercial setting, ideally within the energy sector
- A strong working understanding of contract law, with knowledge of the energy sector specifically
- Exceptionally strong legal research skills to ensure contractual compliance in an ever changing regulatory space
- Ability to work as an individual in conjunction with various other teams, both legal and commercial
- A commitment to self-improvement and a thirst for knowledge
- Strong understanding of contractual aspects of Intellectual Property desireable
