Our support workers are the heart of everything we do. We want you to empower the people we support to live their lives how they want to, whether that's travelling the world or spending time in their local park! All we ask is that you have the commitment and drive to encourage and guide the people we support to make this happen.

This position is all about building relationships with the people you will be supporting while helping them with their day-to-day routine in line with their personal support plans such as dressing, personal care, finances, medication, attending any appointments along with employment, Volunteering and hobbies.

Who You Will Be Supporting

At Huntington Road we support four young people aged from 21-38 with learning disabilities and autism. They have 24/7 supported living in a one storey bungalow, with a mixture of shared and 1:1 and 2:1 support. Shifts will be varied and include weekends, sleeps and waking nights.

The people we support at Huntington also enjoy taking part in lots of activities such as arts & crafts, gardening, baking and take away nights. Part of your role will be to help them live life to the full meaning no day will ever be the same!

What You Would Be Doing

The people that live at Huntington Road Avenue need thoughtful, enthusiastic and caring people to support them.

Your days will be varied and supporting people with all aspects of daily life means we need you to be adaptable – one part of the day might be supporting people with intimate and personal care, using specially trained moving and handling techniques, the next could be taking them for a walk to the park then sitting with someone to support them hand over hand to peel some potatoes for everyone's dinner.

Are you ready to have a meaningful impact on someone's life? Are you compassionate to others? Are you dedicated to making a difference? Then we want to hear from you.
