Event Operations Manager

About the role

Reporting to the Associate Director, Global Events, you’ll manage the end-to-end operational delivery of global events - from event planning and management through to on-site coordination and post-event evaluation. You’ll work across international teams and with global partners to ensure every event is delivered seamlessly, professionally, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event planning: Manage logistics, venue arrangements, event services, technology, social events, registration, exhibition. Prepare operational plans, run sheets, and documentation. Maintain project trackers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and liaise with external stakeholders.
  • Logistics: Lead review of technical specifications, floorplans, CAD drawings. Coordinate logistics within budget and time parameters, ensuring quality standards.
  • Production: Implement experience design plan, support running order and show flow, manage production elements.
  • Registration, attendee management and exhibition management: Manage registration processes, support exhibition operations.
  • Event technology management: Identify and implement technology solutions, manage event tech ecosystem.
  • On-site delivery: Support setup, breakdown, compliance, and troubleshoot real-time challenges.
  • Post-event: Assist with wrap-up, evaluations, reporting, and continuous improvement.

Who we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in operational planning and delivery of large-scale events.
  • Strong operational planning and logistics management skills.
  • Experience coordinating suppliers and service providers.
  • Interest in event technologies and digital tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to problem-solve under pressure.

About you

  • Minimum 4+ years’ experience in event operations or event management.
  • Degree in events, marketing, tourism, or related field.
  • Event management certifications preferred (CMP, CSEP, or similar).
  • Proficiency in English required; additional languages an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
