About the Role

At [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], we help people maintain their independence in their own home. As a Care Assistant, you will provide homecare services including health & wellbeing activities, housekeeping, personal care, and companionship. You will follow personal care plans, support with daily tasks, and encourage independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visiting village & community customers daily, providing personal care and support with day-to-day tasks such as washing, bathing, dressing, assisting mealtimes, medication administration, and continence care.
  • House duties including fitness support, health awareness, cooking, laundry, vacuuming, ironing, and other housework.
  • Supporting customers with attending medical appointments, collecting prescriptions, and home from hospital support.
  • Encouraging independence in all daily activities.
  • Liaising with family members.
  • Full compliance with safeguarding policies.
  • Attending compulsory training.
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred.

Requirements & Skills

  • Good level of written and oral English.
  • Ability to use company mobile and app for scheduling and communication.
  • Accurate completion of electronic daily logs.
  • Good knowledge of the local area.
  • High standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
  • Acts as a role model.
