The company has continued to grow its market share within the animal feeds sector through its technical expertise and quality product range.
Based at our mill at Northern Road, Belfast, the company are wishing to recruit for the following position within our engineering team:
Maintenance Technician, Electrical
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be an integral part of a team dedicated to providing best in class engineering and maintenance support to the manufacturing operation. You will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of the site and for optimising the performance of the mill plant and ancillary equipment. Working closely with production colleagues you will ensure that equipment is properly set up and maintained, monitoring performance and carrying out fault diagnosis and running adjustments/repairs as necessary. Your job will also involve continuous process improvement, including preventative maintenance, maintaining utilities, modifications and maintaining the spares package at site. Your will also provide support for the installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment.
Successful candidates for this position should have completed a recognised electrical engineering apprenticeship or training programme and be capable of carrying out electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis and repairs. Candidates should have recent relevant experience in an industrial environment with exposure to feed mill style plant and equipment desirable. Ideally applicants should have a positive, proactive problem-solving approach with good communication skills and a track record of successfully contributing within a workplace team. Fabrication/welding/Mechanical fitting experience would be beneficial. You will also be reliable, co-operative and flexible to work early starts nightshifts and weekends if required.
