Job Description
As we continue our mission to *make people happy through chocolate*, we’re looking for a PR & Influencer Manager to join our Marketing team on a permanent basis. A key member of our PR team, you will run all proactive communications campaigns across the portfolio – including The Velvetiser, our Velvetised Creams and peak seasonal periods including Christmas. Nurturing a strong industry network to increase awareness and build brand affinity, you’ll develop and execute effective communication, influencer and media relations programs. We are a brand with so many amazing stories to tell and you will be at the heart of this! When on-site, you’ll be based between our support office, ‘Mint House’, in Royston, Hertfordshire and Whitechapel, London.
What you’ll be doing…
- Developing a proactive PR and influencer strategy seeking high level placements in print, broadcast and online media.
- Identifying emerging trends within the PR and influencer sphere to ensure [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s approach remains relevant and appealing.
- PR
- Creating and executing plans to elevate [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] in the consumer press.
- Supporting the Senior Communications Manager in curating crisis management plans and acting as a spokesperson liaising between [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] and the press
- Determining strategic and commercial opportunities to drive PR initiatives and build the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] brand.
- Supporting the PR and Comms Assistant to curate content for press releases, send media drops, manage product gifting, and manage the press office at busy seasonal times.
- Defining a measurement framework to monitor, analyse and communicate PR results monthly.
- Managing budgets for all live campaigns
- Making wise decisions, even when faced with ambiguity, strategically and commercially.
- Influencer Management
- Managing the influencer ambassador programme, engaging with existing brand ambassadors, recruiting new advocates and ensuring maximum return on investment.
- Building market leading influencer marketing strategies and campaigns which resonate with brand relevant influencers and their followers to create genuine advocacy for the brand, prompting conversation around our products whilst speaking to a variety of new markets.
- Working with the social and digital teams to execute a successful influencer programme that achieves multiple goals.
- Negotiating contracts with influencers and agents to ensure we are paying a fair price, benchmarked against previous campaigns for consistency.
Who you are…
- You have a proven track record of designing and executing successful national PR plans for a well-known consumer brand.
- You can build relationships with both local and national consumer and industry media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
- You’re a problem solver: you use data to build and constantly improve your strategies and prove your capacity to take data-driven decisions.
- You’re a creative go getter, someone who inspires and motivates others to help champion your PR team.
- A confident communicator who can handle multiple partners at a time.
Essential
- Experience in developing creative, consumer PR campaigns at a national level.
- Experience in implementing influencer campaigns from start to finish, including creative concepts, planning, execution and reporting.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Event planning experience.
- Demonstrable commercial acumen and budget management.
Desirable
- BA/MA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related discipline would be advantageous however not essential.
