Job Description
As Liquid Processing Operator you will undertake a role to maximise product output, efficiencies and quality. The job covers all aspects of our liquid processing operations, including milk reception, liquid despatch, evaporation, water management, process control (including SCADA), quality assurance and plant cleaning-in-place. You will work closely with the liquid processing team members to learn and understand the various production processes to deliver a world-class performance within the departments. The role will initially be 12 hour day shift rotating across a 24/7 shift pattern working an average of 42 hours per week, however 12-hour rotating day and night shift may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Milk Intake acceptance testing and milk offloading.
- Liquid despatches to external customers and completion of documentation.
- Shunting of tankers.
- Operation of RO water treatment plant.
- Operation of evaporator for liquid products.
- Clean as you go, responsible for keeping department clean and tidy.
Specific Skills and Experience
Required
- Educated to GCSE level with a minimum of Grade C in English and Maths
- Confident individual with excellent communication and team working skills.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and email.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Good team player.
Desirable
- 1 years’ recent and relevant food manufacturing experience
- Ambitious and keen to progress within a food manufacturing environment
- Experience using Scada control systems
- FLT licence
- Shunter licence
