Bringing it to the role. The Food Safety Manager role is to ensure that our Food Safety strategy is best-in-class ensuring we always do the right thing when it comes to managing safety and compliance. You will continue to build on the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] UK&I brand reputation by developing strategic relationships and influencing key stakeholders at all levels.
This role is part of the Risk and Compliance Team, reporting into the Risk and Compliance Leader. The team sits within the wider Restaurant Excellence department, where our priority is running great restaurants. This role will be a field-based role working across the UK&I.
What You’ll Do
- As the subject matter expert in Food Safety, own the Food Safety strategy and lead review of legislation and best practice.
- Ensure restaurants maintain high standards: review and update FSMS and HACCP, lead HACCP team, oversee pest management contract with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal].
- Lead on Food Safety training content for all roles.
- Support third-party audit programme (ROCC) and maintain policies, processes, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with Operations and QA teams on restaurant routines, new product launches, and equipment trials.
- Manage external regulators and lead process to return restaurants to 4 or 5 Food Hygiene Rating.
- Engage with Franchise partners and represent UKI on global Food Safety forums.
What We’d Love From You
About You: Passionate about food safety, solution-driven, strong influencer, excellent communicator, analytical thinker, team player.
Experience: Related Degree in Food Science/Technology/Environmental Health; relevant Food Safety Management experience; food service/hospitality/retail sector preferred; contractor management; investigation experience; stakeholder management.
