Overview

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] are looking for an experienced LX2 to join the Mrs Doubtfire UK & Ireland Tour. The ideal candidate will have previous experience touring large scale musicals, exceptional communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team in a high pressure environment.

Responsibilities, Skills & Qualifications

  • To deputise for the LX1 as and when needed
  • To attend get-ins and get-outs where necessary and work well with the LX team
  • Supporting the get-in and get-outs, including the truck pack
  • Supporting the necessary re-lights in each venue
  • To maintain lighting equipment and ensure it is in safe working order
  • To support the operation of the lighting desk during technical and dress rehearsals and any other rehearsals requested by the Company Manager
  • To create and update all paperwork including cue sheets and kit lists
  • To attend any rehearsals, production and technical meetings, and participating in staff/team meetings when required
  • To liaise with production and venue staff
  • To ensure that everything is prepared on a daily basis for rehearsals and for performances, paying particular attention to lamp checks
  • To work with the CM, SM and resident creative team to schedule and coordinate rehearsals as required
  • To work with the stage management team, technical departments, performers, resident creative team members and theatre staff to ensure the efficient flow of information as necessary for the smooth running of the show
  • A personable approach to problem solving, and the ability to work and remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent time keeping
  • Any other reasonable duties of an LX2 on a touring musical
