Job Title: Materials Supply Operative/ Forklift Driver

Job Summary
This role focuses on general hygiene and material supply duties across the site. You will play a key part in ensuring the factory environment remains clean organised and fully stocked to support smooth production processes. Flexibility is essential as you may also be required to support as a Factory Production Operative when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily pre-start inspections of the yard
- Monitor and maintain pallet levels within the production area
- Ensure changing rooms are stocked with appropriate PPE
- Replenish washing stations with soap sanitiser and hand towels
- Sort uniform deliveries and manage distribution
- Dispose of waste correctly including sorting waste bags into skips or compactors
- Flatten cardboard and operate the cardboard bailer
- Maintain cleanliness of the rear yard and surrounding floor areas
- Follow all company procedures risk assessments and health and safety regulations including COSHH
- Wear all required PPE for each task
- Maintain high personal hygiene and adhere to company hygiene standards
- Follow clean as you go practices ensuring work areas are tidy and hazard free
- Operate machinery in line with training and competence
- Work across different areas to support operational flexibility
- Report hazards defects or near misses to the Team Leader
- Ensure all products and racks are labelled correctly for traceability
- Complete all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
- Support continuous improvement across safety quality and efficiency
- Escalate issues and assist with resolving operational challenges
- Follow Defacto procedures including booking activities correctly
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by management
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a food production/ manufacturing environment
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail particularly with paperwork and compliance
- Experience using systems such as Defacto for booking processes is advantageous
- Valid Reach Truck licence and pedestrian truck licence
