Job Description

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Transmission & Distribution are seeking an Assistant Project Manager based in the Inverness area of Scotland. The role will ensure delivery excellence on assigned projects by effectively supporting managing scope, schedule, cost, and risk, while providing clarity and assurance to stakeholders, overseeing progress, and adhering to organizational procedures and safety standards.

You will have experience of development and delivery of multi-million-pound projects to deliver safely, on-time and within budget. The Role

As Assistant Project Manager, you'll support the PM in overseeing project delivery, managing scope, schedule, cost, and risk while ensuring stakeholder clarity, aligning with UI T&D and client goals, and applying high standards throughout all project phases, including design and construction, with essential experience in handling T&D project design and budgets.

A relevant technical degree or equivalent demonstrable experience is required, along with proven project delivery skills in areas such as data analysis, stakeholder management, cost estimation, project planning, and effective communication, while demonstrating strong organisational abilities and initiative.

  • Attends customer meetings to understand requirements

  • University degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent
  • Demonstrated project delivery with experience in: metrics and data analysis, business awareness, project success and benefits management, stakeholder management, cost estimation and invoicing, contract models, project initiation and quality assurance, legal and ethical requirements, WBS, Networks, CPA, task logic, project planning and progress tracking, document control, setting KPIs, operational handover, project management reporting, design safety standards
