On Trade - Regional Business Development Manager - South West (Bristol)
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking an On Trade Regional Business Development Manager to drive growth of its portfolio (FUNKIN Cocktails, Frobishers, Rubicon, Bundaberg, IrnBru) across the South West's bars and restaurants. The role is field-based, permanent, and focuses on securing new distribution, managing key regional accounts, and executing joint business plans.
About the Role
As our On Trade RBDM you will be responsible for driving new and developing existing distribution of products from the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] portfolio in Key Regional and multi Site Operating accounts within an assigned territory (regional pub groups, premium bar operators, restaurant groups and hotel chains). The scope of the position covers day to day execution of national agreed plans overlaid with local activity mutually agreed to deliver objectives within agreed budgets.
Your Responsibilities
- KPI Ownership: Responsible for hitting targets related to revenue, distribution, new business, and product availability.
- Joint Business Plans: Developing mutual growth strategies with key customers.
- New Business: Identifying and securing new stockists while negotiating commercial terms.
- Supply Chain & Forecasting: Managing stock flow from factory to shelf.
- Activation: Executing promotional campaigns and seasonal 'big bets'.
- Budget Oversight: Managing promotional and trade investment budgets.
- Insight-Led Selling: Using category data and consumer insights.
- Stakeholder Management: Building long-term partnerships with buyers and internal teams.
- Reporting: Handling administrative duties and account reviews.
What You'll Bring
- Significant experience in FMCG or strategic sales, preferably Key Account Management.
- Direct experience within the UK/Local On-Trade drinks industry and cocktails is preferred.
- Demonstrable track record of meeting and exceeding challenging sales targets with a focus on New Business.
- Excellent IT skills (Google Suite, Excel, PowerPoint & Word). Able to learn new packages (Cognos, IRI/Kantar, Demantra).
- Comfortable working with sales data and managing budget.
- Highly organised and developed communication skills.
