Job Description

Group 1 winning trainer, [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is looking to recruit a Travelling Head Person to join his top quality team.

• Travelling horses to the races and sales
• Applicants should be competent and confident saddling horses and overseeing all aspects of their care at the racecourse
• Full liaison with owners at the races in the absence of the trainer.
• Liaising with the Trainer remotely, if not in attendance at the races.
• Opportunities to travel abroad with overseas runners.
• Assisting in the organisation and maintenance of the racing tack room (colours, tack, staff, clothing etc)
• Maintenance of horseboxes.
• Cleaning after racing and reporting any faults to the office
• Riding out and general yard duties when not racing.

Requirements

• Applicants must be over 25 years old, have a full, clean driving license and be confident driving a two horse (3.5T) horsebox.
• Applicants should be experienced and confident in travelling horses, well organised and able to work as part of a team.
