Cooker Operative

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Ltd is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cooker Operative to ensure production runs efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance. This is a permanent, full-time position based in March, Cambridgeshire (PE15 0AX).

What You Will Do

  • Operate machinery to achieve optimum efficiency and meet production targets.
  • Report and record faults, downtime, and performance issues.
  • Complete pre-start checks and ensure machines are clean and in good working order.
  • Follow correct specifications, including programmes, films, and date codes.
  • Maintain cleaning standards before and during production.
  • Ensure weights, metal detection, and print checks are carried out at the required frequency.
  • Verify seal integrity and ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Set and maintain weights within agreed tolerances.
  • Minimise waste, including floor waste and overproduction.
  • Follow all company policies, including health & safety, quality control, and safe working practices.

What You Will Bring

  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment (preferred).
