[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking two motivated Senior Healthcare Assistants to join the expanding Hospice at Home team. This permanent role offers a salary of £25,760 – 27,476 FTE for 23 hours per week. Closing date: 25th May 2026. Based in Basingstoke, Hampshire.

About the Role
We are expanding the 24/7 Hospice at Home service, offering a visiting service to patients within our catchment known to be in the last 2 weeks of life. A Registered Nurse and a Senior Healthcare Assistant will visit patients in their home who meet our service criteria.
The role is based within the Hospice at Home team where the postholder supports the H@H Team to deliver 24/7 specialist palliative care, enabling patients to be supported at home where possible. The team provides rapid response to facilitate hospital discharge and reduce admissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised palliative care and symptom management at home, visiting patients 24/7.
- Support the SMH Living Well Service, including MND and long-term neurological conditions.
- Maintain high standards of care, communication, and record-keeping.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, patients, families, and carers.
- Assist the RN with general and specific care of patients in hospice and community.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a healthcare assistant, ideally in community end of life care.
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility for shifts including long days, nights, and weekends.
