Role Summary
As an AI Research Engineer, you will design and deploy behavioural learning models that emulate and predict human decision patterns across the digital suite. You will bring together machine learning, statistical modelling, causal inference, and real‑world behavioural analytics to influence how digital products make decisions, adapt to users, and improve workflows. Your models will power Digital Twin components, agentic decision systems, and intelligent automation across our digital suite. This role sits at the intersection of data science, behavioural modelling, software engineering, and product integration making your impact both technical and deeply strategic.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop behaviour‑driven learning models, including sequence models, timing models, and imitation learning architectures.
- Apply causal inference to identify, isolate, and measure the impact of specific decisions or workflow actions.
- Build probabilistic and sequential models capable of predicting next actions, intents, or outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to integrate behavioural intelligence into our digital suite product workflows.
- Conduct exploratory behavioural analyses to uncover patterns, heuristics, anomalies, and latent signals.
- Partner with ML engineers on Digital Twin and agentic model development, contributing behavioural dynamics and decision‑process modelling.
- Validate behavioural models using historical replay, A/B testing, simulation frameworks, and controlled experiments.
- Ensure model outputs are production‑ready, scalable, and aligned with real‑world product constraints.
Role Requirements
- Strong foundation in statistics, applied mathematics, or machine learning research.
- Experience with sequence models (LSTM, GRU, Transformers), Markov processes, or reinforcement‑learning‑based methods.
- Familiarity with imitation learning, behavioural cloning, and decision‑process modelling.
- Practical experience with causal inference frameworks such as DoWhy, CausalML, EconML, or similar.
- Proficient in Python and core scientific & ML libraries (NumPy, SciPy, PyTorch or TensorFlow).
- Strong exploratory data analysis skills and experience running hypothesis‑driven model development loops.
- Ability to work within engineering‑driven product environments, contributing to integration, validation, and iteration.
