Service and Call-Out Lift Engineer

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Service and Call-Out Lift Engineer to cover North West England and North Wales. This is a full-time, permanent position requiring at least 3 years of lift engineering experience. The role focuses on reducing breakdowns through proactive maintenance, using ILM Data Soft for data analysis, and providing excellent customer service.

About the Role

As a Lift Service Engineer with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], your primary objective is to reduce the number of breakdowns by using internal software to monitor data trends and identify root causes. You will conduct regular routine maintenance on commercial/residential lifts, respond to call-outs, and investigate recurring breakdowns.

Responsibilities

  • Utilise ILM Data Soft to preempt lift breakdowns
  • Carry out regular routine maintenance on commercial and residential lifts
  • Respond to breakdowns / callouts during regular hours and out-of-hours
  • Be on call every 1-3 weeks
  • Keep the office updated with necessary data
  • Carry out customer site visits
  • Procurement of materials and involvement in site surveys

Essential Requirements

  • At least 3 years experience as a Lift Service Engineer or 4 years time-served in the lift industry
  • Desire to develop role using lift data trends
  • Experience taking ownership of a service route
  • Keen knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • NVQ Level 3 Lift Servicing & Repair or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of 18th Edition Wiring Regulations desirable
