Level 2 Production Operator Apprentice

Qualifications Required

  • 3 GCSEs at 9 – 3 / A* - D (4 or above preferred), must include maths, English language, and ideally Science, or equivalent related qualification.

Skills Required

  • Basic literacy and maths
  • Previous experience desirable but not essential as all training provided
  • Quality orientated
  • Manual Dexterity
  • Good level of English

Training to be Provided

Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Operations, Level 2 Certificate in Engineering Operations, including Complying with statutory regulations, Working efficiently, Using technical information, Lean/Business Improvement, Mechanical maintenance/assemblies, General Machining, Fitting and Assembly Applications, Bench Fitting. Relevant Workplace Training and Functional Skills (if required). This Intermediate (Level 2) Apprenticeship will last for 12-18 months, spending one day per week at MAKE UK's Training Hub in Aston and four days at the employer's site.

Future Prospects

Upon completion, you will become a production operative with potential for permanent position as Production Operator, further development to Deputy Team Leader or Team Leader.

Other Information

Noisy, dusty environment, early start times, night shift working in some areas. This apprenticeship has expired.
