Training to be Provided
This 4 year programme will include:
- Engineering Basic Skills training – off the job full time at Make UK in Aston, Birmingham
- NVQ Level 3 in Engineering
- A Technical Certificate (BTEC Diploma Level 3 in Engineering)
- In house training in line with your requirements.

Engineering Technical Support is the pathway, with robotics focus, whereby you will provide engineering support to all production areas within the business, offering a variety of tasks and challenges to solve. You will learn a variety of skills using high tech equipment including robotics, plc, design tools and other engineering applications and help to deliver engineering solutions. As an apprentice Engineering Technician you will train to become a highly skilled, well trained individual, with a structured training programme and pathway over a four year period. Year 1 full time placement at Make UK Hub and then further day release for year 2 will be supported by our current Engineering team to help and support whilst at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Ltd. Throughout your apprenticeship you will develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours required to support and solve engineering/robotics issues to help drive our business forward: 1. Assisting with the introduction of new work to the business from engineering perspective. 2. Assist in new manufacturing facilities/projects and workstreams to deliver new engineering actions /processes or improve current activity. 3. Investigating and deliver improvement projects to offer robust solutions to assist such as Manufacturing, Quality, Product launch, Dimensional teams for example. 4. Robotics pathway to specialise and focus deliverables in this field on completion of apprenticeship.
