Prep School Teacher (Fixed Contract)

This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an NQT or experienced primary teacher to join a creative and supportive Prep School. The position involves teaching across KS1 and KS2, preparing lessons, assessing pupils, and participating in extra-curricular activities. The school is located in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.

Job Description

Job Title: Prep School Teacher (Fixed Contract)
Reporting to: Senior Deputy Head Prep
Hours: 5 days a week on a fixed year contract commencing 01 September 2026

Principal Role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher with the drive to achieve the best possible outcomes for pupils in the Prep School. This post represents an excellent opportunity to share expertise and love of the Primary curriculum and teach lessons that inspire and enthuse pupils. Detailed Role

  • Teaching & Learning: Preparing lessons, assigning classes, using appropriate strategies, encouraging pupil responsibility, maintaining stimulating environment, securing excellent behaviour, ensuring resources are ready.
  • Assessment: Recording and reporting on pupil work, maintaining records, preparing pupils for Senior School Entrance Assessment.
  • Communication: Working with Prep School staff and leadership, liaising with parents/carers, participating in open events.
  • Enrichment: Run extra-curricular activities and clubs, share good practice.
  • Pastoral: Liaise with pastoral and learning support staff, support pupils.
