Roaming Activity Instructor - Surrey

Salary: £106.68 - £130.28 (excluding an additional 12.07% holiday pay)
Contract: Seasonal holiday work. Full time or part time roles available.
Hours: 8am – 6pm weekdays.

About The Role

Title: Roaming Activity Instructor
Reporting to: Camp Manager
Summary: Deliver outstanding sports sessions, arts and crafts and games to groups of children across [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], with emphasis on participation, structure, and development. You will also have a pastoral role as group leader. This is a roaming role; you will be assigned a weekly route across camps in your local area and must react to emergency changes. A senior role, you may support the Camp Manager, new staff, and liaise with Head Office.

About You

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified in or working towards relevant qualifications in childcare, sport, art or education, with experience taking sole charge of a group of children.
  • Able to tailor delivery and structure of sessions according to age and ability.
  • Valid driving licence and use of own car for travel to/from camps.
  • Mobile phone for contact with Recruitment and Operations Team.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic and passionate about developing children through play and activity.
  • Good organisation and communication skills; confident to lead a group of children.
  • Excellent face-to-face customer service skills; confident interacting with parents.
  • Proactive and conscientious team player, adaptable to dynamic situations.
  • Looking for a challenging and rewarding holiday job in the childcare industry.

Desirable Requirements

  • Management or supervisory experience.
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification (12 hour or 6 hour).
