About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join our busy and growing machine shop. You will be responsible for Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes to manufacture precision components to tight tolerances in various materials.

This role suits someone who is hands-on, detail-focused, and committed to producing high-quality work in a production or low-volume/high-mix environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and operate CNC turning machines (2-axis / multi-axis)
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications
  • Fanuc CNC programming
  • Carry out first-off, in-process, and final inspections
  • Use a range of measuring equipment, manual, CMM and OMM
  • Maintain machine performance and basic preventative maintenance
  • Ensure all work is completed to quality and safety standards
  • Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CNC Turner
  • Ability to read technical drawings and understand tolerances
  • Experience working with Fanuc controls
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent experience (preferred)

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with live tooling or twin spindle machines
  • Fanuc programming knowledge on-machine or offline using Fusion 360
