Scientist – Antibody Formulation Development

Join the team shaping the future of antibody therapies through cutting‑edge injectable formulation science. [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a lab-based scientist to join the Injectable Formulation Development (IFD) group within the CMC Development Sciences department. This team plays a critical role in supporting monoclonal antibody development, from toxicology studies to Phase 3 clinical trials. The IFD group is dedicated to improving and developing formulation technology platforms to enhance the stability of standard antibodies and novel antibody formats.

Responsibilities

  • Perform experiments, analyses, and enabling studies to support non-clinical and clinical studies.
  • Support pre-formulation and formulation laboratory activities, including lab setup and provision of technical resources.
  • Author formulation protocols, reports, and supporting documentation based on a deep understanding of biochemical or physical degradation routes of antibody-derived molecules.

Key Skills and Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree or equivalent, or PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience with demonstrated knowledge and application of new and developing technologies.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in protein-antibody analysis techniques such as HPLC/UPLC, iCE, UV spectroscopy, DLS, CGE, rheology, and MFI.
  • Advantageous Skills: Experience in formulation development and/or automation.
  • Additional Skills: High level of numeracy, ability to critically evaluate data, excellent communication and organizational skills, and adaptability to work in a dynamic team environment with changing priorities.
