Senior Researcher, China
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Senior Researcher, China for its Asia Division. This full-time position will preferably be based within commuting distance of one of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s offices. The role involves research, advocacy, and reporting on human rights conditions in China.
Responsibilities
- Research, monitor and document the human rights situation in China
- Write and publicize reports, briefing papers, letters, news releases, op-eds, and submissions
- Identify key political and human rights trends
- Conduct media interviews and high-level advocacy
- Work closely with NGOs and local human rights organizations
- Travel internationally as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree desirable
- Minimum six years professional experience working on China
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Mandarin
- Knowledge of international human rights law
- Ability to conduct interviews safely and remotely
Salary and Benefits
