Role Summary

  • The Technical Lead provides technical leadership across programme‑led delivery, working alongside Project Managers to ensure the technical workstream is delivered end to end through suppliers, integrators, and internal teams.
  • Operating across multiple concurrent initiatives, the role is accountable for completeness, quality, and readiness of the technical workstream end to end.
  • Works closely with architecture, security, operational teams, and suppliers to ensure architectural intent and standards are correctly implemented.

What you’ll do

  • Define and maintain clear technical scope, acceptance criteria, and required technical artefacts.
  • Bolster and assure design quality by scrutinising designs, specifications, and related artefacts.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architecture, security, and technical stakeholders.
  • Provide technical assurance to Project Managers by defining technical readiness gates.
  • Act as a technical integrator and coordinator, driving owners to close technical actions.

What to bring

  • Strong technical experience in OT and/or infrastructure environments.
  • Demonstrable experience providing hands‑on technical leadership through design, build, test, and transition into live operation.
  • Experience working in live or operationally critical environments.
  • Proven experience supporting delivery through third‑party suppliers and systems integrators.
  • Experience contributing to programme‑led delivery models.
  • Ability to define and assess technical readiness.
  • Experience working with architecture and security teams.
  • Strong capability in identifying technical risks, assumptions, and dependencies.
  • Experience working in regulated or safety‑critical environments is desirable.
